After graduating from San Diego State University, I did what all good graduates do with an English degree, I taught high school. Comma splices, Emily Dickinson, thesis statements, and teenage drama were fun and at times rewarding, but I found myself looking for a creative outlet. Thus began my delving into the world of sewing and stationery. For two years, the business (formerly The Neighborhood Press) grew alongside my teaching career, but after the birth of my son, I realized my other passion, being a mom. Paper and Thread Studio has allowed me to do the two things I know best: motherhood and working with paper, and I still get to use my mad grammar skills.
Each piece is crafted in my home studio. I find joy in the details of life and my stationery pieces, so I craft them with patience and a love for what I’m doing.
Paper and Thread Studio prides itself in creating unique pieces that reflect the personality of the occasion and the client, all while being as friendly to the earth as possible.
